Improved
energy levels is the number one
desire for some. Attaining higher
levels is possible, but not without
knowledge, focus and ofcourse, change.
In this article, you will learn
ways in which we lose energy and
ways in which we can gain more.
IMPORTANT
FACTS
The
body needs proper vitamins, minerals,
amino acids and many other substances
in the correct amount in order to
achieve optimum energy production.
What is energy? " Energy can
be defined as vigour or power in
action and vitality and intensity
of expression." (www.organicnutrition.co.uk)
There
are three different types of energy.
Physical, intellectual and emotional.
Energy is often analyzed in two
different categories. Chronic Fatigue
Symptom, which is a prolonged condition
that |

increases
a persons level of emotional, mental and
spiritual stress. The second category
is Acute Energy Loss. Acute Energy Loss
is more common. Most people experience
this category of energy
loss. You can correct Acute Energy Loss
easier than Chronic Fatigue Symptom with
specific concentration on proper rest
and proper nutrition.
Proper
nutrition promotes cellular nutrition.
Your cells need adequate nutrients and
when they get it, the fuel gets converted
into our body's energy currency adenosine
triphosphate or more-commonly known, ATP.
"ATP is the most widely distributed
high-energy compound within the human
body" (Ritter, 1996, p.301). There
are many benefits to increased energy
levels including more time to spend with
family, friends, on hobbies and on your
career.

TODAY! GONE TOMORROW!
Energy
losses can come from many different areas.
You can feel low in energy because of
thyroid problems, toxic metals or chronic
infections such as gum disease or eye
infections. Even spiritual fatigue can
create low energy. Pain causes a decrease
in energy levels, and so does structural
and
lifestyle imbalances. Iron deficiency
is a common cause of fatigue, especially
in women. Women are more prone to this,
due to the amounts of iron that can be
lost during menstruation, preganancy and
breast-feeding.
Also,
eating habits. If you don't eat at the
right times, or leave too long in between
meals, you are increasing your body's
stress and irritability levels. You are
also decreasing your body's energy levels
and imparing normal immune function.
BOOST
MY ENERGY!
How
can you boost your energy? How can you
almost guarantee that your body is operating
at the speed it should? Here are a few
tips! First, don't neglect sleep. Yes,
we've heard this one before. However,
sleep is one of the most neglected and
important things that we can change in
our lives. Next, stay away from stimulants.
Beverages such as coffee will give you
a limited high, inevitably crashing your
energy levels and leaving you feeling
more tired than prior. Third, change your
diet. Eat four to six small meals a day.
Make sure you are eating a balanced plan
including adequate protein, "adequate
protein has a stimulating effect upon
the glands". (www.drlwilson.com)
Make sure you are eating high fiber carbs
and including the proper amounts of vitamins
and minerals. Next, exercise. Beginning
activity is proven to improve mood and
energy levels. Finally, stay away from
fast or processed foods. Fast food means
fast calories and processed foods are
often high in sodium and low in nutritional
value. Plan out your meals a day ahead.
Don't leave your diet or progress to chance.
Planning ahead will keep you
on track to reaching your ultimate goal!
